In Dagoretti, Education assistant minister Beth Mugo will defend her seat against Ms Jane Kinyanjui and Violet Okinda.
In Embakassai, women candidates include Ms Angela Kamene Kimwele, Ms Anastasia Mathenge of the NGOs world, Mrs Janet Kate Muttisya, Ms. Grace Yimbo and university student Biphrosa Matengo of NPK.
The Kamukunji Parliamentary seat has attracted a large number of contestants including Centre for Rights, Education and Awareness executive director Ann Njogu.
Kasarani also promises to be the hotbed of politics in the city with aspirants such as Elizabeth Masha, Rachael Shebesh, Roselyn Akeyo Okumu Maendeleo Ya Wanawake official Irene Wanyoike, Ms Isabel Wanjiku and NGO Council boss Orie-Rogo Manduli.
More than 19 aspirants, including Ms Connie Kivuti, Ms Pauline Mueni Kivila, Ms Pauline Owoko, Ms Beatrice Wasike and Ms Jacqueline Mutere, a daughter of former area MP John Mutere , have lined up to take on Mr Reuben Ndolo for the Makadara seat.
In Starehe Constituency,Bishop Maragret Wanjiru of JIAM will vie for the seat.
Westlands pitches Fred Gumo and Betty Tett against each other. Others in the race include Jackie Bwire, Dr Josephine Ojiambo and Ms Kavetsa Adagala.
